AUGUST 2009 - Why The ECOWAS Passport Is Indispensable

Timeline for the issue and use of the new ECOWAS passport has been changed severally. Of the 15 ECOWAS member states, only five (Nigeria, Senegal, Mali, Guinea and Benin) have so far adopted and are using the bio-metric regional passport. Ghana, after several postponements recently announced that it will start issuing the passport to its nationals from April next year.
